Information reaching IBOM FOCUS that 6 Abducted Niger State Students Die In Bandits’ Den
Six students out of the 136 students that were abducted by bandits from Islamic School in Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, have reportedly died.
The school principal, Abubakar Alhassan, said he received a call from from the bandits who informed him about the death of the children.

He disclosed that the bandits told him that the children died of illness, asking that the demanded ransom be paid to secure the release of the other children.
TheCable reports that one of the father of the abducted students identified as Abubakar Adam, also confirmed the the sad development.
Recall that the bandits had previously demanded N110million as ransom before it was later increased to N200 million.
Meanwhile, the parents of the abducted students were said to have reportedly paid a sum of N30 million to the bandits who refused to release the children.
It was earlier reported that residents of Alawa community in Shiroro LGA alleged sighting children on several motorcycles around the region.
The Niger State government had promised to intensify efforts to rescue the children.
Niger has come under bandit threats with several attacks on communities and with many persons displaced across the state.
