IbomFocus may update these T&Cs at any time without notice. Continued use after the “Effective Date” above constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

All text, images, audio, video and other material on the Site (“Content”) is owned by IbomFocus or its licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.

You may:

View, share links and quote brief excerpts on social media provided you credit IbomFocus with a hyperlink to the original article.

You may NOT:

Reproduce, republish, upload, translate, scrape or modify full articles or multimedia without prior written permission.
Sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise commercialise any Content.
Use Content in any way that violates applicable law or promotes hate, violence, discrimination or illegal activity.

4. User-Generated Content

Comments, forum posts, guest articles or any material you submit (“User Content”) must:

Be accurate, lawful and respectful.
Not infringe third-party rights or contain defamatory, obscene or threatening language.
Grant IbomFocus a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, reproduce and distribute your User Content in any format.

We reserve the right to remove or edit User Content that breaches these rules without notice.

5. Registration & Accounts

Certain features (newsletters, alerts, commenting) may require registration. You must:

Provide accurate, up-to-date information.
Keep your password confidential.
Notify us immediately of unauthorised use or security breach.

IbomFocus may suspend or delete accounts that violate these T&Cs or are inactive for more than 12 months.

6. Newsletters & Alerts

Subscribing to email services means you consent to receive marketing and editorial communications. You may opt out at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any email or by emailing support@ibomfocus.com.

7. Advertisements & Sponsored Content

The Site displays ads and sponsored posts. Advertisers are responsible for compliance with applicable laws. IbomFocus does not endorse advertised products or services and is not liable for any transaction between you and an advertiser. Sponsored content is clearly labelled “Advertisement” or “Sponsored.”

We may link to external sites. IbomFocus has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, content, privacy policies or practices of third-party websites. Access such sites at your own risk.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
IbomFocus does not guarantee that the Site or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.
Under no circumstances shall IbomFocus, its directors, employees or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with use of the Site or Content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Site shall not exceed ₦10,000 or the amount you paid IbomFocus in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is higher.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These T&Cs are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

12. Severability

If any provision of these T&Cs is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
