After Str!pping Nak€d At Lagos Beach To Pray For Tinubu’s Victory, Nollywood Actor Attacks President Over Hardship, Hunger
Popular Nollywood star, Ebun Oloyede, more commonly called Olaiya Igwe, has expressed his disappointment over the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s government so far.
Olaiya Igwe who trended during the 2023 electioneering period when he went to the Eko beach unclad to pray for Tinubu’s victory said he had been subjected to series of insults and abuses from his close allies who believed he influenced them to vote for Tinubu.
The actor said the current realities in the country are that people are suffering due to the economic impacts of Tinubu’s policies.
He asked the president to rapidly identify working solutions that would transform the existing status of the country in order to avoid getting personal attacks and insults from people.
In a video he made, the actor said, “I did not regret the efforts I made during your campaign because you had personally saved my life one time before. But I want to say something this time around. Nigerians are not happy with your government. They are crying. They did not see their expectation from you. And I know you are trying but it is not showing. And you caused it, you are the reason Nigerians did not see your efforts because of people surrounding you. Those people working with you did not allow your efforts to yield results progressively.
“You know people in the political circle, if not you would not have chosen Wike to control Abuja and he is doing well, and I want you to remember the words of Sanusi Lamido, Ex-CBN Governor, his words are meaningful and you supposed to have used some of his words and work on them but it seems you have neglected them. I beg you to constitute a National monitoring team, so that if you assign a task to someone, you will be able to monitor the performance.
“If you don’t take steps to amend the current situation in the country, the way I am receiving alerts of insults, you will soon start receiving the same insults. I know people surrounding you, some are good, but the majority of them are working against the progress of your government. You know them. Forget politics and make meaningful changes. With this, the insults and abuse we (your supporters) are receiving will be reduced. If not, you too will soon be receiving the insults.”
Olaiya would be the second popular Tinubu supporter in a week time to speak out about how poorly their favoured candidate performed in the 2023 race.
It was reported last week how a popular Fuji Musician, Wasiu Ayinde “Kwam 1” berated the poor performance of Tinubu during his live performance.
