BREAKING: Few Days To Governorship Election, Gunmen Attack PDP Chieftain Residence With Explosives

Gunmen have reportedly attacked the residence of the Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Dikivie Ikiogha, with explosives suspected to be dynamite.

Our correspondent gathered that there was neither loss of life nor property during the attack, which was carried out at midnight Monday.

The gunmen threw the explosives at the Ikiogha residence adjacent to the house of the former President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, at Kpansia in Yenagoa local government area.

Chief Ikiogha had once served as Chief of Staff and Commissioner in Bayelsa state.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anisim Butswat, said a team of the police EOD had been sent to the place to ascertain the alleged explosion.
