NEC noted the recommendation of the Zoning Committee that in the interest of justice and fair play, the Party should take decision on Zoning timeously so as to prevent complications to the process.
The committee led by Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom had recommended that the zoning, even though in the constitution of the party be jettison for the 2023 general elections.
The NEC also appointed former senate president David Mark as the Chairman of the committee to prosecute the presidential primaries of the party between 28th and 29th of this month.

He said: “We are also working towards the National convention, and we will brief you latter. We want to thank those that have worked with us in the election process, those in the various committees.
“The mood of the party is changing, and everyone is ready to work hard and with this spirit nothing will stop us from taking over power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
The chairman PDP Governors forum and Sokoto state Governor Aminu Tambuwal said the transformation of the party is just starting and “we are with you all the way to the National elections.”
