1. Born on March 1, 1941, Nwaifo started his music career shortly after completing his secondary education.

2. In 1965, he formed Melody Maestros, his band.
He was a musician, writer, sculptor, and musical instrument inventor.

3. He served as the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism under former Governor Lucky Igbenidion of Edo State.

4. He was a lecturer at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Benin, Benin

5. He was the winner of the first gold disc in Africa (Joromi) released in 1965 and seven other gold discs in Guitar boy, Arabade, Ekassa series and Akwete music.

6. He had a Bachelors degree (first class valedictorian), Masters degree and Ph.D in Architectural Sculpture from the University of Benin.

7. Uwaifo’s hobbies included swimming, bodybuilding, gaming, reading and writing. He was married with children.
