Islamic Cleric Jimeta Calls For Allah To Curse Tinubu, Labels President ‘Infidel’

A northern Islamic cleric, Mallam Saleh Muhammad Jimeta, has called on Allah to curse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as an “infidel” during a Friday sermon.
Jimeta made the remarks while addressing his congregation during a Friday Khutbah, according to a video obtained by Ibom Focus.

In the footage, the cleric repeatedly invoked curses against Tinubu and those supporting his administration, questioning the President’s presence in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
“May Allah curse Tinubu. He is in Mecca now. The people in Mecca do not know who he is; if they knew, they would have chased him away. He is an infidel in Mecca. Infidels are not allowed to enter Mecca. Tinubu is an infidel,” he said.
He further declared: “May Allah curse anyone who supports Tinubu.”
The cleric also criticised a statement attributed to Tinubu concerning Moses and Egypt, questioning the President’s meaning when he reportedly said that “Moses will never come back to Egypt.”
According to Jimeta, Tinubu made the remark the previous week, while his wife, Remi Tinubu, had allegedly made a similar statement before.
“The same thing his wife Remi said before. After all, she was the one who taught him. That ‘Moses will never come back to Egypt,’” he said.
Jimeta claimed he had responded to the statement by predicting that Moses would eventually return to Egypt for what he described as further liberation.
“I, Jimeta, gave him an answer. Sooner or later, Moses shall return to Egypt for further liberation,” he declared.
He added that he believed Tinubu had not heard his response, suggesting that the President would have reacted strongly if he had.
The cleric subsequently questioned his congregation about the significance of the references to Moses and Egypt, asking: “Who is Moses? What is Egypt?”
