BREAKING: Fresh Trouble Hits El-Rufai
The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has come under criticism over his attempts to taunt the administration of Governor Uba Sani over alleged indiscriminate waste disposal in the state.
Recall that an X user with the handle @IU_Wakilii [Imran U. Wakili Oluwa Femi] had shared pictures of Mr Sani and heaps of refuse dumps in a location assumed to be within the state.
In the post, the user had said: “They thought we were kidding when we said that in just a few months, Governor Uba Sani had changed Kaduna completely.This is the type of change we are getting from the best governor in Nigeria.”
Retweeting the post, Mr El-Rufai wrote:”From God, we all came, and to Him, we shall all return.”
Ibom Focus reports that since the rumour of the strained relationship between Messrs El-Rufai and Sani became public, this is the first public attempt by the former governor to express his displeasure over the administration of his long-time friend and political ally.
However, shortly after Mr El-Rufai’s post, many X users stormed the comment section to remind the former governor of the issues that enveloped his administration.
An X user by the name Nura Mohammed Nasan with the @NMnasan asked: “Please, just explain to us what and what You did with a $350m foreign loan.”
Another user, @FS_Yusuf_, said, “O, your wail no dey reach us for back seats. Shout harder. The dirt you didn’t clear, he is clearing them for you.”
@Sports_Doctor2 wrote: “But sir, these images are from your time, there are images of these piles of rubbish from way back in 2016!!!!
“Images of this nonsense were there during your time as governor for 8 good years, and you did absolutely nothing about it.You see this life eh ”
Also, a former minister of aviation and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Femi Fani Kayode, said the pictures of the refuse dumps were not from Kaduna State.
In a post on his X handle @realFFF, said, “It is utterly despicable for anyone to take pictures of filthy rubbish dumps from other parts of the country and claim that they are in Kaduna state all in a scurrilous and futile attempt to discredit Governor Uba Sani (@ubasanius).
“Malicious falsehood, specious lies and malevolent disinformation have no place in civilised discourse or in the land of the living. Those that indulge in such primitive behaviour and employ such vile tactics need to reconsider their wicked ways or check into a mental hospital.
Similarly, a former Senator who represented Kaduna Central, on his handle @Shehusani, noted that instead of providing answers to the alleged looting of 423 billion,”They resorted to “screenshooting” images of rubbish dump from other places and portray it as that of Kaduna of today.
“They have forgotten their images of how people and animals drank from the same pond under their ignominious and corrupt regime in Kaduna [2015-2023].
