The Federal Government of Nigeria extends warm felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Senegal, as the nation commemorates its Independence Anniversary.
Senegal’s Independence Anniversary represents a defining moment in the country’s history, symbolising the triumph of self-determination and the enduring commitment of its people to democratic governance, stability, and national development. Over the years, Senegal has distinguished itself as a model of political maturity and constructive engagement within the African continent.
Nigeria acknowledges Senegal’s vital contributions to regional peace, democratic consolidation, and economic cooperation in West Africa. The strong partnership between both countries continues to be reinforced through collaboration in trade, culture, education, and security, as well as through active engagement in regional and international organisations, including ECOWAS, the African Union (AU), and the United Nations.
