BREAKING: FG Declares Public Holidays For Eid-el-Fitr
The Federal Government has declared Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as public holidays to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement signed by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the government.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and urged them to uphold values such as self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace. He emphasized the importance of love, forgiveness, and solidarity in fostering a harmonious society.
He also called on Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country. Expressing hope that the celebration would inspire unity across religious and ethnic lines, the minister encouraged citizens to celebrate safely and responsibly while extending kindness to the less privileged.
On behalf of the Federal Government, he wished all Muslim faithful a joyful Eid Mubarak and prayed that the blessings of the season bring happiness, success, and fulfillment to everyone.
