Ugandan Woman Arrested at Lagos Airport With 87 Wraps of Cocaine Hidden Under Underwear
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 34-year-old Ugandan woman, Farida Nansubuga, for allegedly attempting to traffic 1.15 kilogrammes of cocaine from Nigeria to Uganda.
The suspect was reportedly arrested on November 3 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while preparing to board a flight to Uganda.

According to the NDLEA, a search conducted on her led to the discovery of 87 wraps of cocaine strapped around her pelvic region and concealed beneath two layers of underwear.
The agency disclosed that Nansubuga arrived in Nigeria on October 29 alongside members of her church for a prayer session at the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos.
While other members of the group returned to Uganda, she allegedly remained in Nigeria to collect the drug consignment for a friend identified as Joy.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly told investigators that she expected to receive at least $1,000 for successfully delivering the cocaine in Uganda.
NDLEA Chairman, Mohamed Buba Marwa, described the incident as an example of how international drug cartels exploit religious journeys to recruit unsuspecting couriers.
