VIDEO: Tears As Tinubu Campaign Supporters Hired From Kano Stranded In Kaduna, Over Hunger, Unpaid Stipends, Cries Out For Help

Supporters allegedly recruited from Kano State to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign activities in Kaduna State have reportedly been stranded over unpaid stipends, with some complaining of hunger.

In a video obtained by Ibom Focus, the supporters were seen gathered around a commercial bus, with some sitting inside the vehicle while others stood outside, appealing to the campaign organisers to pay them for their services.
Speaking in Hausa, some of the aggrieved individuals said they travelled from Kano to Kaduna to participate in the campaign activities but had yet to receive the money they were promised.
One of them expressed frustration over the situation, saying they had worked without receiving any payment.
“We came here to just work for nothing without pay,” he said.
Another supporter said they had been stranded while waiting for the organisers to arrive and settle their outstanding payments, adding that they had not eaten.
“We are here stranded, waiting for the organisers to come and pay us for our job. We have not eaten. This is our bus and the number on it. This is one of the buses,” he said while pointing towards the vehicle.
The video showed the supporters waiting around the bus, apparently hoping that the organisers would address their complaints and provide the money they said they were owed.
Meanwhile, in a separate video obtained by Ibom Focus, a man speaking in Hausa criticised President Tinubu over his recent comments during his visit to Kaduna State, particularly his response to concerns about hunger and the economic hardship facing Nigerians.
The man questioned why Nigerians who had listened to the President’s remarks would still believe his administration could improve the country’s situation.
“If you have listened to the things Tinubu said in Kaduna and you still believe he will do better and fix Nigeria, I swear to God, you are just wasting your time. You do not even know what you are doing,” he said.
He accused the President of failing to acknowledge the hardship experienced by Nigerians, arguing that his comments appeared to shift attention to the opposition rather than address concerns about hunger and the rising cost of living.
According to the critic, Tinubu’s reference to opposition parties discussing hunger raised questions about whether the President recognised the severity of the economic difficulties confronting citizens.
He further questioned how the administration could correct its mistakes if the President did not acknowledge that there were problems with its approach.
“How can you expect someone who does not even recognise that he is making mistakes to correct them?” he asked.
The man also mocked the prospect of Tinubu seeking another four-year term, saying Nigerians should consider the consequences of continuing with the current administration.
“Let us go for Tinubu’s four plus four (another four-year term). All of you should go ahead and vote for him,” he said sarcastically.
He maintained that the country’s economic challenges affected Nigerians regardless of their political affiliations, religious beliefs, gender or region.
The speaker questioned whether members of the APC, African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were being spared the effects of government borrowing and the prevailing economic situation.
He also asked whether Muslims and Christians, men and women, or residents of northern and southern Nigeria were experiencing different economic realities.
“Are people from the North being exempted while those from the South are left out? No, everyone is affected,” he said.
The man urged Nigerians to carefully consider their political choices ahead of future elections, arguing that citizens across the country were bearing the consequences of the economic situation irrespective of the parties they supported.
He concluded by praying for divine guidance in choosing the country’s leaders.
“May God guide us to make the right choice,” he said.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no response from the campaign organisers regarding the supporters’ allegations of unpaid stipends..
