It was serious jubilation when the Uyo Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Pastor I. N. George, Ph.D, dedicated the new multimedia studio and other projects at the headquarters of Ata Inim District, Obio Imo Area, Uyo, Sunday January 31, 2021.
While inaugurating the projects, the Field Superintendent dedicated the facilities to God, declaring divine coverage upon them, as they are set aside for church work and the glory of God.
Pastor George who commended the minister in charge of Ata Inim District, Pastor David Akpan, for the feat. He extended commendation to the leadership of the district and all members who contributed to the execution of the projects, noting that it is an indication that the church is marching on.
He specially applauded Pastor Akpan’s ability to embark on and complete the expansion of the rear section of the church auditorium gallery and facility upgrade in the church within few months. He observed that with the development, that capacity of the church auditorium has significantly increased and is to the glory of God.
Also inaugurated and dedicated were the upgraded Ata Inim Assembly Sunday School office, some newly acquired musical and media equipments, among others.
The event which was a combined service of the district, witnessed the presentation of four books written by Pastor David Akpan namely; I was a drunk, Men Ought to pray, Women in God’s plan and the second series of Morning Fresh. Prominent among them is a chronicle of his personal salvation story titled, ‘I Was a Drunk’. The Field Superintendent in his comment recommended the books to be read by young Christians and those who are battling with addiction as well believers seeking to strengthen their faith and grow in the understanding of the gospel.
Barely a year since Pastor Akpan took over the helm of leadership in Ata Inim District, the church has so far grown in amazing ways, spiritually and in other regards.
