BREAKING; Very Important: latest Update On Peace Corps Nigeria
In line with model trends, the #Peace Corps of Nigeria is to migrate from the use of paper ID Card to a Plastic ID Card, in addition to setting up a data base at its Headquarters, imputing the data/profile of all its bonafide personnel nationwide.
Unveiling the New Plastic ID Card on Saturday 10th April, 2021 at a meeting of the Peace Corps Council in Abuja, the National Commandant, Prof. Dickson Akoh reveals that the Plastic ID Card is equipped with enhanced security features and will come into effect after the expiration of the current ID Card by midnight of 10th July, 2021.
Prior to coming into effect of the New ID Card, the Corps has commenced a nationwide Verification Exercise and Data Capturing of current bonafide Officers and Men in the various State Commands. Distributing the Verification and Data Capturing Form, the National Commandant ordered that, under strict supervision by the Zonal Commanders, the State Commandants should only accommodate bonafide Officers and Men that are up to date with the activities and of good standing with the Corps.
The exercise which is to last for a month will be conducted under the following guidelines:
a. Individual Officer/Men is expected to personally fill the Verification Form in his/her own handwriting.

As provided for in Article 21, Section 1 (d), page 33 of our enabling Constitution, the Data Capturing Exercise will only involve Regular Members of the Corps that musts have paid all previous approved dues, fees and levies payable by and under the Constitution.
It should therefore be noted that, only Officers/Men that duly filled the Verification Form and the information contained therein is satisfactorily Verified to be TRUE shall be issued the New Plastic Service ID Card.
According to the Prof. Dickson Akoh, “apart from being a prerequisite for the issuing of the New ID Card, the Verification and Data Capturing Exercise will be instrumental to the compilation of the comprehensive records of the current personnel, as the Corps anticipates the passage of the Bill for an Act to establish the Nigerian Peace Corps by the National Assembly and its eventual Assent by Mr President.
It is however important to state that the Form 15 is an internal document of PCN with a sole purpose to identify all its Officers and Men as they carry out their official functions. All bonafide members of the Corps are by this notice directed to commence the filling of the Revalidation Form for the processing of the Plastic ID Cards for replacement of their current ID Card through their State or Local Government Commands.
While admonishing Officers and Men of the Corps to comply with the directives, the National Commandant of the Corps urges all Officers and Men to contact their State Commands or Local Government Squadrons for further instruction on the exercise.
