EXCLUSIVE: Nigerian Army Recruit K!lls Colleague, Withdraw N800,000 From His Account

Some applicants into the Nigerian Army Depot, Zaria have reportedly hacked their fellow applicant to death, withdrawing about N800,000 from his bank account.

The lifeless body of the applicant with knife cuts was seen in the early morning of Saturday around popular PZ area in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A witness who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that the deceased, who hailed from Gombe State, had told his friends that his parents sent close to a million naira into his account to facilitate his recruitment into the Army Depot.

The witness added that on Friday afternoon, the deceased even gave out his ATM card and password to one of the friends to withdraw N10,000 to buy food for themselves.

“We suspect that these friends are behind the killing of this innocent man because they know that he has money and they have his ATM password,” the witness disclosed.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika.

The Army Depot and the Nigerian police have yet to speak on the incident up to the time of filing this report.
