“I Killed My Ex-Girlfriend And Dumped Her Body In A Bag Because She Broke Up With Me” — Man Confesses
A young man identified as Emmanuel from Ebonyi State has reportedly confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend, Umuora Mmesoma, from Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, after she allegedly ended their relationship.
According to Ibom Focus, Mmesoma was reported missing on Friday, October 16, 2026. Her body was later discovered inside a bag in Uga on Friday, October 23.
A video circulating on social media shows security operatives interrogating the suspect following his arrest over the incident.
During the interrogation, Emmanuel allegedly admitted to killing Mmesoma, claiming that he committed the crime because she broke up with him.
“I killed her because she broke up with me. I killed her in my house in Uga, put her inside a bag and dumped her somewhere,” the suspect reportedly said.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage among residents and social media users, with many calling for a thorough investigation and the prosecution of the suspect. Others have demanded justice for the deceased and her family.
Efforts to obtain an official reaction from the Anambra State Police Command were unsuccessful as the command’s Public Relations Officer had not responded to a message sent to him at the time of filing this report.
