Abuja, Nigeria – The Arewa Revival Project has congratulated Nigerians on the landmark Supreme Court judgement granting financial autonomy to local governments.

Speaking in Abuja with Journalists, the national president of the Forum, Hon Muttaka Ahmed Ibrahim, Said This ruling is a significant step towards decentralizing power and enhancing grassroots development. We commend the Supreme Court for upholding the constitution and ensuring that local governments receive their rightful allocations.

Building on this momentum, we urge the National Assembly to enact legislation amending the Electoral Act to include electronic voting and results transmission from polling units to the National Collation Centre. This reform is crucial for ensuring the integrity, transparency, and credibility of our elections.

We call on all stakeholders to support this effort and work together towards strengthening our democracy.
