Kaduna Woman Beaten After Criticising Residents for Failing to Support Uba Sani

A woman believed to be a supporter of Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has reportedly been assaulted and injured after criticising residents for failing to publicly demonstrate support for the governor following President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the state.

In a video circulating online, the woman was seen speaking in Hausa, expressing disappointment that residents did not organise celebrations, play songs or display posters in honour of Governor Sani during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Kaduna.
She questioned why residents of Kaduna appeared unwilling to show the same level of enthusiasm for their governor as supporters of other state governors often demonstrate when their leaders visit different locations.
According to her, residents should publicly appreciate their governor regardless of their political differences or personal opinions about his administration.
The woman lamented that while supporters of governors from other states regularly welcome their leaders with songs, posters and other displays of solidarity, similar activities were missing in Kaduna.
However, a separate video reportedly showed the woman crying and bleeding after the alleged attack, with visible injuries to her forehead and nose.
In the footage, she was seen lying on the ground before another video captured the moment she was assisted into a tricycle, with security operatives reportedly present at the scene.
The woman was reportedly rescued by friends who witnessed the incident.
Some witnesses alleged that police officers at the scene watched as the assault occurred but failed to intervene effectively or arrest those responsible.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged attack and whether any arrests have been made were not established in the report.
