A student of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu State, identified as Stanley Ogwo has reportedly been kidnapped.

Stanley, son of a Radio presenter with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Godwin Ogwo was kidnapped on Thursday on his way to school from his Emene residence.

Ogwo, who confirmed the abduction to SaharaReporters on telephone, said that his son is a National Diploma final-year student.

Although details of his abduction were still sketchy, the father stated that information available was that his son was abducted in a commercial bus he boarded to school.

The staff of Radio Nigeria Enugu, said the bandits contacted him through his son’s handset.

“They merely asked if we are ready to comply; I was confused and I switched off the phone.”

He however, noted that the abductors were yet to make their demand.

“Yes, we’ve been talking with them and they have said they want money but yet to name the amount,” he said.
