NAF Coordinates Multi-Agency Recovery Operation After Igbokoda Aircraft Crash
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has continued its search and recovery efforts following the crash involving NAF ATR 42 aircraft, NAF 931, in Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The operation is being coordinated under the leadership of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, with support from various security agencies, emergency responders, government authorities and members of the local community.
Air Marshal Aneke praised the NAF personnel involved in the operation for their professionalism and dedication. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, NEMA, Ondo State Government, NSCDC, Amotekun Corps, Hi-Tech Construction Company, local authorities, community leaders and volunteers.
According to the CAS, the cooperation among the participating agencies underscores the importance of collective national service and unity in responding to emergencies.
He assured Nigerians that the NAF would continue to pursue the recovery operation with diligence and due regard for safety, while maintaining close coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
The NAF leadership also appreciated Nigerians and other stakeholders for their prayers, solidarity and support, assuring the public that further updates would be issued as the operation progresses.
