Hisbah Arrests Males, Females For Bathing Together

The Hisbah, Islamic police in Kano State, has detained 20 residents, including both men and women, for bathing together, a violation of Hisbah law.

The arrests were made by the men from Operation Kau Da Badala at a recreation center on Ring Road in Kano, following complaints from local residents.

Dr. Mujahidin Aminuddin Abubakar, the Deputy Commandant General of the Hisbah Board, confirmed that the act contravened Hisbah law, which prohibits men from mingling with the opposite gender while bathing.

Expressing concern over the incident, Abubakar emphasized the importance of engaging in activities that earn rewards from the Almighty. Upon completion of the investigation, the detained individuals will face appropriate punishment.

Abubakar also urged parents and guardians to monitor their children’s movements closely to prevent such occurrences in the future.
