Heavy Shootout As Gunmen Abduct POS Agent, Friend Escapes Gunshots

Gunmen have reportedly abducted a POS Operator simply identified as Biggy from his residence in Delta State.

The incident occurred at 3pm on Friday at Egbo Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area.

The victim’s friend escaped from the scene when he saw the Dare Devil gunmen who opened fire on him.

The bullet reportedly pierced through the wall of the building as he made his escape.

At the time of filing this report, nothing has been heard from the victim and the abductors.

The incident has caused tension amongst residents, indigenes and business owners in the area.

A Niger Delta human rights activist, Israel Joe has now condemned the rising pace of insecurity in the state, saying, “It is time we raise alarm about the steady and incessant rate of kíɗnąpping in Delta State, especially Ughelli South – Egbo, Aragba, Otokutu, Uvwie, Warri and environs.”

“The security agencies must rise to the occasion of nipping this ugly trending social ill. How would kídnąppíng be an everyday thing now?”.

However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe claimed the incident was not reported.

In a WhatsApp message sent to our correspondent in Warri, Edafe’s curt message read, “Not reported pls, so not confirmed”
