Wife Lands In Trouble For Getting Impregnated By Another Man
In an Area Court in Ilorin, a divorce-seeking woman, Adenike Aliyu, found herself facing consequences after admitting to committing adultery during her marriage.
The presiding Judge, Hammad Ajumonbi, handed down a sentence of three weeks of community service as a lesson to both the public and the respondent.
Aliyu, who had filed for divorce, custody, and maintenance of her three children on Feb. 10, 2023, revealed to the court that she had given birth to three children with Abdulfatai Ahmed before leaving him in 2021.
Additionally, she admitted to giving birth to a fourth child with another man.
Although the marriage was dissolved by mutual agreement, Aliyu’s ex-husband filed another case on March 27, 2023, seeking custody of all four children. He claimed paternity of the fourth child, citing continued sexual relations with Aliyu even after she left his house.
However, he later withdrew the complaint, opting for the children to remain in the custody of their maternal grandmother for the sake of justice and their well-being.
