APC Disowns Fake Membership Slip Allegedly Linked to Terrorist Turji
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as false and malicious a purported party membership slip circulating on social media that falsely claims that a notorious terrorist, Mohammed Bello Turji, was registered as a member of the party during the ongoing APC Electronic Registration and Validation Exercise.
In a statement, the party said the document is a complete fabrication and bears no association or link whatsoever with the APC’s official membership register or database.
According to the APC, all digital parameters displayed on the fake membership slip have no connection to its authentic membership records. The party noted that the slip falsely indicates registration in a nonexistent “Ward 13” of Shinkafi Local Government Area in Zamfara State, which officially has only 10 wards.
“All other information paraded on the fake slip is nonexistent and certainly not contained in our membership database,” the party stated.
The APC described the forged document as a vile fabrication and the handiwork of mischief makers seeking to mislead and confuse members of the public for sinister objectives.
The party therefore urged its members and the general public to completely disregard the highly offensive document, stressing that it has no credibility and does not reflect the party’s membership records.
