BREAKING: Nigerian Army Declares Top Bandits Wanted
In a significant development aimed at curbing terrorism and insecurity in Zamfara State, the Nigerian Army has declared Haliru Buzu, a notorious arms supplier, wanted.
Buzu, believed to be the mastermind behind the killing of 19 villagers in Farar Kasa, operates from his camp in Subbubu forest and resides in Shinkafi Local Government Area of the state.
The announcement was made by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, during a briefing in Abuja.
Maj.-Gen. Buba revealed that Buzu is not only involved in arms trafficking but also runs an illegal mining site in Zamfara and engages in cattle rustling, further exacerbating the security challenges in the region.
The declaration of Buzu as a wanted criminal underscores the commitment of the Defence Headquarters to apprehend individuals responsible for perpetrating violence and destabilizing the peace in Zamfara State.
It serves as a clear message that those involved in illicit activities will face the full wrath of the law, and efforts will be intensified to bring them to justice.
The Defence Headquarters, in collaboration with other security agencies, urges members of the public to provide relevant information that could lead to the arrest of Haliru Buzu. By working together, the authorities and the community can effectively combat terrorism and restore peace and stability to Zamfara State.
