BREAKING: Former Delta State Governor Is Dead

Former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has reportedly died, according to multiple sources close to his family who spoke to Naija News House.
The sources confirmed the development on Monday, although details surrounding his reported death remained unclear as of the time of filing this report.
“Uduaghan is no more; he is dead,” one of the sources said.
The report comes months after the former governor’s family dismissed rumours of his death that circulated on social media.
In June, reports claiming that Uduaghan had died spread across Facebook and WhatsApp, raising concerns among residents and political stakeholders in Delta State.
Following the circulation of the reports, his media aide, Henry Unini, publicly dismissed the claims, insisting that the former governor was alive.
“I can tell you for a fact that Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is alive,” Unini said at the time.
He criticised those responsible for spreading the reports, stressing that claims about a person’s death should not be published without proper verification.
Unini also cited an incident involving the late Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe, who reportedly expressed surprise after hearing a news announcement of his own death and questioned why the information had not been verified with the appropriate sources.
The media aide acknowledged that Uduaghan had been experiencing health challenges but maintained that he was receiving medical care.
“It is now common knowledge that Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has been sick, but he is receiving proper medical care,” he said.
Unini further disclosed that the former governor was recuperating and assured the public that there was no immediate cause for alarm.
He thanked friends, well-wishers and Delta State residents who contacted the family to confirm Uduaghan’s condition, while urging them to continue praying for him and his family.
He also promised that further updates would be provided when necessary and cautioned the public against circulating unverified information.
As of the time of filing this report, further details regarding the reported development had yet to emerge.
