    Information reaching IBOM FOCUS that Fire Guts NYSC Lodge In Calabar

    The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC lodge in Calabar, Cross River State capital has been gutted by fire. THE PARADISE learned.

    The lodge belonging to the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship, NCCF Cross River State Chapter and located at Akiba, Ikot Ansa, Calabar was completely razed down by the fire at about 4:30 am on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

    According to findings, the lodge experienced a fire outbreak from behind the male quarters, while the occupants were still very much asleep.

    “In preparation to give a call out and create awareness for the daily morning devotion, the Publicity and TOS unit perceived the smoke in the building and alerted corp members in the house to get up from bed. The smoke all over the building caused disarray and the corp members had to move out of the house, as it blazed up.
