Biden’s Dogs Bite White House Staff

Information reaching us that, Two dogs belonging to US President Joe Biden have been sent to his country home after a “biting incident” at the White House.

Champ and Major, both German shepherds, were sent to the US State of Delaware after the animals showed aggressive behaviour towards White House staff.

Major, since moving in a week after the president’s inauguration in January, “has been known to display agitated behaviour on multiple occasions, including jumping, barking, and ‘charging’ at staff and security,” CNN reported, citing two White House sources.

According to the UK Guardian, the dogs are the first to occupy the White House since Bo, the Obamas’ dog. Donald Trump, who thought getting a dog would be “phoney”, was the first US president in a century not to have a canine companion.

In Nigeria, Presidents are not too known to fancy dogs. About five years ago, a citizen who named his dog after President Muhammadu Buhari and painted the name on both sides of the dog was arrested for breach of the peace.

But he had said: “I named my beloved pet dog Buhari, who is my hero. My admiration for Buhari started far back when he was a military head of state.”
