APC Reps Aspirants Forum Storms Party Headquarters, Pledges to Mobilise 360 Constituencies for Tinubu, Calls for Integration
The House of Representatives Aspirants Forum for Tinubu/Shettima 2027 has called for closer integration into the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign structure, pledging to mobilise political support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The Forum, which brings together former House of Representatives aspirants from Nigeria’s 360 federal constituencies, said it was ready to work with the APC leadership to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and secure victory for the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Its National Coordinator, Mohammed Danjuma, disclosed this on Thursday after leading members of the group on a courtesy visit to the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, at the party’s national secretariat.
Danjuma said the Forum had the political networks, experience and nationwide reach required to complement the APC’s existing structures and support its preparations for the next general elections.
He explained that the group was seeking an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the party’s mobilisation and campaign activities without creating a separate structure.
According to him, the Forum’s members have established political connections across the country that could be deployed to strengthen voter engagement and grassroots support for the APC.
“Our collective mission is to channel our political experience, networks and organisational capacity towards supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition and the success of all APC candidates,” he said.
Danjuma disclosed that the Forum was originally formed in 2022 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to unite aspirants who lost their respective party primaries.
He said that following subsequent political developments, many members moved to the APC and decided to support the ruling party in achieving its political objectives.
The National Coordinator said the visit to Yilwatda was part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the Forum and the party leadership while exploring areas of cooperation ahead of the 2027 elections.
He emphasised that the group was committed to working within the APC’s established framework and would not seek to compete with the party’s existing organs.
“We seek to complement the party’s efforts by making our collective experience, political networks and national reach available for the advancement of the APC,” Danjuma said.
He added that bringing former aspirants closer to the party’s decision-making and mobilisation processes would help promote unity and ensure that their political experience was put to effective use.
Danjuma further expressed the Forum’s readiness to cooperate with the APC leadership and other party stakeholders in pursuit of their shared electoral objectives.
He commended Yilwatda for his efforts to strengthen the party, foster unity among members and improve its prospects ahead of future elections.
The Forum also reaffirmed its commitment to President Tinubu, the APC National Chairman and the ruling party, promising to respect the party’s constitution and comply with its decisions.
Danjuma said the group would work diligently with the party leadership to support the President’s re-election bid and the success of all APC candidates in 2027.
He expressed confidence that improved collaboration between the Forum and the APC would strengthen the party’s mobilisation machinery and expand its reach across the country.
The National Coordinator also appealed to journalists to provide accurate, balanced and objective coverage of political activities as the country approaches the next electoral cycle.
Naija News House reports that Yilwatda received the delegation alongside members of the APC National Working Committee at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
