Abuja Police Arrest Pastor Over Alleged Car Theft
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a pastor, Edwin Nwabueze, alongside his alleged accomplice, Sadiq Jamiu, over the theft of a Toyota Camry at UTC Plaza in the Garki area of Abuja.
The command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, identifying Nwabueze as the principal suspect.
According to the police, Nwabueze, who hails from Oji River, Enugu State, but resides in Benue State, introduced himself as a pastor with Salvation Power Bible Ministry, located in the North Bank area of the state.

The suspect was reportedly arrested on Tuesday before leading police operatives to another location, where his alleged accomplice, Jamiu, was apprehended.
The police further disclosed that preliminary investigations linked Nwabueze to previous vehicle theft-related arrests by the police in Benue State.
Further investigations reportedly revealed that the suspects belonged to an interstate vehicle theft syndicate involved in stealing and selling vehicles across different states.
The command said investigations were ongoing to uncover the full activities of the syndicate and arrest other members who remain at large.
