Eid-el-Fitr: Umahi Felicitates Muslims, Urges Unity and National Growth
The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Nweze Umahi, CON, FNSE, FNATE, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message, Senator Umahi described Eid as a period of deep reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the core values of sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and obedience to the will of Almighty Allah.
He noted that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan serve as a guide for peaceful coexistence, justice, and kindness, particularly towards the less privileged in society.
The Minister urged Nigerians to embrace unity, tolerance, and mutual respect, emphasizing that these values remain critical to the nation’s collective progress and stability. He also called on citizens to use the festive period to pray for the peace, security, and sustained development of Nigeria.
Senator Umahi reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Ministry of Works to delivering critical infrastructure projects aimed at connecting communities, boosting economic growth, and improving the overall quality of life for Nigerians.
He prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful, and blesses the nation with peace, prosperity, and good health.
