A yet-to-be identified crossdresser in Abuja has been harassed and str!pped by a mob.
In a viral video on social media, the crossdresser was confronted at night and despite attempting to walk away from the scene, the assailants prevented such.

Consequently, the crossdresser was harassed and str!pped off in public.
He was, however, later freed with a cautionary warning against wearing similar clothing in public.
Recall that the House of Representatives in 2022 assessed a bill seeking to ban crossdressing in Nigeria.
A proposed amendment to Nigeria’s Same-S3x Marriage (Prohibition) Act (SSMPA) seeks to ban crossdressing, defining it as wearing clothes typically associated with the opposite sex.
However, there’s an exception for theatrical performances or genuine public entertainment, and if passed, crossdressers could face up to six months in jail if they don’t conform.
