BREAKING: Gunmen Bomb Another Lawmaker’s House

Criminals suspected to be arsonists have burned the country home of the lawmaker representing Orlu/Oru East/Orsu Federal Constituency of Imo State in the House of Representatives, Canice Nwachukwu (popularly known as Omeogo).

City Round gathered that the politician’s home was set on fire on Thursday morning, a few hours before the commencement of the two-day South-East summit on economy and security held in Owerri, which had the five governors in the region in attendance.

A source disclosed that the politician was not home when the suspects committed the arson on arrival at the federal lawmaker’s village at Abara in Amanator Okporo community in Orlu Local Government Area.

“The men came with explosives metals and fuel. Before setting the house on fire, they looted some properties. They equally made video footage of the compound and the domestic staff.

“While making the videos, they threatened to mastermind more terrors. They came with guns, and explosives like locally made bombs and dynamites. The staff luckily escaped before they set the building on fire,” the source said.

When contacted, the state spokesperson for the police, Henry Okoye, said it had commenced an investigation into the case.
