Social Media Kidnapper Reveals that Women Are Very Cheap To Deceive’
A man who specialised in kidnap for ransom of young women on social media has advised users to be careful and be sensitive of their actions online.
Sadiq Abubakar, 31, from Kogi state who used the pseudonym Samuel Johnson on Facebook to lure his victims, warned the public of the increasing trend of fraudulent individuals posing as decent people on popular social media like Facebook and Instagram to perpetrate their crime.
Operatives of the Intelligence Response Unit of the Nigerian police arrested him alongside 25-year-old Peter Moses from Kaduna State.

Their arrest followed the abduction of a 22-year-old lady to a location in Suleja, Niger state.

Police said the suspects held the young lady hostage, had repeated carnal knowledge of the victim and extorted money from her parents as ransom before her release.
Investigations by the Police showed that the suspects usually meet their victims on social media platforms particularly, Facebook, and thereafter lure them to their criminal hideout before subjecting them to sexual molestation and further obtaining ransom from their families.
Speaking to the media, Abubakar said: “My name is Sadiq Abubakar. I’m from Kogi state. My social media name is Samuel Johnson. I have been kidnapping online. They [victims] do send me friend requests and sometimes I do send them friend requests and we become friends. And I invite them. And from there I capture them and I ask for ransom. So that is what I do.
“My advice to young women out there: They should be careful and trust nobody. And they should always, no matter what – women are very easy to deceive – they should always be careful and be sensitive.”
