Usually the Catholic popes should be gifted communicators, skilled in leadership and having ability to understand people, to build coalitions, to communicate a compelling vision. Different traditions Popes need to abide by in order to do their job properly.
Pope Francis was born on 17 December 1936, and is the head of the Catholic Church, the bishop of Rome and sovereign of the Vatican City State. Francis is the first pope to be a member of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), the first from the Americas, the first from the Southern Hemisphere, and the first pope from outside Europe since the 8th century papacy of Syrian pope Gregory III.
Many people wonder if Pope Francis has a wife, but in the history of Popes only four Popes have been married. Only Pope John Paul II had an intimate 32-year relationship with a Polish philosopher who is believed to have once declared her love to him while he was still a cardinal, according to letters discovered by the BBC.
However, Pope Francis is celibate thus Catholic advocates see clerical celibacy as a special gift of God by which sacred ministers can more easily remain close to Christ with an undivided heart, and can dedicate themselves more freely to the service of God and their neighbour.
Eventually, in 2022 Pope Francis’s claim has sparked rumours after saying that replacing children with pets in a family was selfish. According to Thesun, There have been pope’s that have bad children which broke the vow of celibacy.
These have either been children had before entering the clergy, or illegitimate children that were the result of an affair. Pope Francis who is now dealing with health complications after suffering with a respiratory infection according to Vatican confirmation March 29, 2023.
Pope Francis has been an exemplary Pope so far with his desire to bring hope, equality and opportunity to those who have little, and to role model the mercy, love, compassion and courage of the Man whose church he leads.
