Register, Participate In Forthcoming UK Election, Peter Obi Tells Supporters

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria’s 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has called on his followers living in the United Kingdom to register and participate in the forthcoming UK Election.

The UK’s 2024 general elections have been scheduled to hold on July 4 with voters registration ending at 11:59pm on Tuesday June 18.

Obi, who made the call in a post on his X platform handle on Monday, asked his followers in the UK to ensure they contributed to the UK democratic process as their voices mattered.

Remember, the election is on Thursday 4 of July 2024.

With hashtags – #RegisterToVote #YourVoteCounts, Obi said, “My dear followers in the United Kingdom who are eligible to vote, your voice matters!

“Don’t miss your chance to register to vote. The deadline is tomorrow.

“Let us ensure that we contribute to the democratic process!”

The general elections in the UK on July 4 give the main national parties the opportunity to reshape the political map and future of the country.

Voters will have the choice of backing the Conservatives under Rishi Sunak or giving their support to Labour, led by Sir Keir Starmer, Sir Ed Davey’s Liberal Democrats or Reform UK under the leadership of Nigel Farage.
