PHOTOS: Surv Ekpenyong Swears In New Council Secretary
Hon. surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong, The Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area Akwa Ibom state, has sworn in Arch. Destiny Edet as secretary to the Local Government Council.
Hon. Ekpenyong, during the swearing-in ceremony, charged the newly sworn-in secretary to dedicate himself to selfless service and demonstrate unwavering commitment and passion for delivering results.
The chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, prioritizing grassroots development, and maintaining an open-door policy, as well as prioritizing the interest of the Uruan people.
He congratulated Arch. Edet on his confirmation and swearing-in, praying for wisdom and strength, noting that it was truly Destiny time as his campaign slogan, ‘INIABASI’, while urging him to bring to bear his wealth of experience as the essence of his appointment was for service to the people.
In his acceptance remarks, Arch. Edet promised to devout himself to serve and key into the vision of Hon. Ekpenyong to ensure a smooth running of the council and actualization of projects.
He, however, appreciated the political leader of Uruan, Senator Aniekan Bassey, Commissioner for Internal Security, Gen Koko Essien, his ward leader, and Uruan stakeholders for their support.
Hon. Ekpenyong is a newly elected Chairman of Uruan that was sworn in on Monday by Governor Umo Eno, Ibom Focus gathered.
Ibom Focus had earlier reported that, Ekpenyong sworn in 13 Councilors on Wednesday.
