Why PDP Govs Are Only Ones Commissioning Projects
The Executive Governor of Akwa ibom state Deacon Udom Emmanuel has said only governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were commissioning projects in the country.
Udom made the claim on Thursday when he inaugurated the 3km Orherhre-Otokutu access road, Agbarho Kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government Area, 3.09Km Emore dualized road and a storey building at Emore Grammer School, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, all built by the Delta State Government.

He called on Deltans to reject any aspirant from the opposition that comes to seek their votes.

Udom stressed that the true dividends of democracy was to do projects that everybody, including the common man, could benefit, adding that his Delta State counterpart had proven to be one who has his people at heart by embarking on projects that touch the common man in the society.
He took a swift at those who criticising South/South governors base on monetary allocation to the states, observing that it was not enough to go publishing how much allocation a governor receives without finding out the cost of doing projects in the area.
He said: “You don’t just go and say Delta State receives so, so allocation. People should take their time to know the cost of doing projects in the state.

“Sometimes we have to dig up to 6 to 8 feet to do a road. As I speak to you, Akwa Ibom has not gotten one kilometre road from the Federal Government, the one that we wanted to partner with them to do they said has been awarded but till now nothing. It now takes 5hrs from Akwa Ibom to Calabar, something that used to take just one hour.”
