In a series of posts and videos shared on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Davido issued strong-worded statements, accusing the police commissioner of misconduct and vowing to challenge his authority.

While the exact cause of Davido’s outrage remains unclear, the singer has previously been vocal about political matters, especially those concerning his home state of Osun.
His family has deep political ties, with his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, currently serving as the governor of the state.
The Osun State Police Command has yet to respond to the singer’s comments.
However, the incident has sparked heated debates online, with supporters and critics weighing in on Davido’s outburst.
His outburst may be connected to the ongoing political unrest between the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
Gunmen on Monday reportedly killed the recently reinstated Chairman of Irewole Local Government, Remi Abass, in Osun State.
It was learnt that the attack occurred on Monday when the deceased chairman arrived at the local government secretariat with his supporters.
They were attacked by armed men suspected to be thugs.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that security operatives from the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested several suspected thugs who allegedly to caused chaos in the state.
When contacted the Osun State Police spokesperson, SP Opalola Yemisi, she neither answered calls nor responded to the message sent to her.
Previously, SaharaReporters reported that the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, had raised the alarm about an alleged plot by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, to instigate unrest in the state.
Adeleke had accused Oyetola of issuing illegal directives to security operatives in an attempt to enforce the unlawful return of sacked local government chairmen.
