VIDEO: After Abusing Abel Damina, Pastor Adeboye Makes U-turn, Apologize For Saying ‘If You Don’t Pay Tithe, You Won’t Make It To Heaven’
The founder of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has publicly apologized for his controversial statement regarding tithing and salvation. In a recent address, he admitted his error in previously saying, “If you don’t pay tithe, you won’t make it to heaven.” He acknowledged that his statement was incorrect and not in alignment with biblical teachings.
“I’m sorry, that’s wrong, and it’s not in the Bible,” he clarified. He further explained that the Bible does not link tithing to entering heaven. Instead, he cited Hebrews 12:14, which says, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” This verse emphasizes the importance of living in peace and pursuing holiness as a requirement to see God, rather than tithing.
With this apology, the preacher hopes to correct any misconceptions his earlier words may have caused and reaffirm the importance of adhering strictly to biblical truths.
Ibom Focus had earlier reported how many pastors and Christians abused, attacked Pastor Abel Damina of power City international Uyo Akwa Ibom state for kicking against tithe.
Pastor Damina constantly kick against tithe and offering, even warned his church members not to offer tithe to him or church, he said tithe will never make anybody to go to heaven.
