Information reaching Ibom Focus that Buhari’s Aide Names Killers Of Chike Akunyili
President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Lauretta Onochie has named those who allegedly shot and killed Dr Chike Akunyili, husband to Prof Dora Akunyili, late former Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
In a Facebook message on Wednesday 29 September, Onochie pointed fingers at the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).

“DR. AKUNYILI HAS BEEN MURDERED BY IPOB.
Dr. Chike Akunyili, the widower of our Dora Akunyili has been gruesomely murdered by IPOB.
His security detail, a priest and his driver, were also murdered. He came to Onitsha for a function in honour of his late wife, Dora. They were killed on their way back home.
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

Dr Chike was assassinated by unidentified armed men on Tuesday 28 September in Anambra state. He was returning from a lecture at Sharon Hall, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, organised by the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA), Onitsha branch, in honour of his late wife, Prof Dora.
The medical director of t Leo’s Hospital, Enugu State was said to have been killed alongside his driver and police escort.
