Nigerian journalist, Mr. Charles Onah has blasted the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt . Hon Benjamin Kalu for allegedly planning to sponsor a bill title, “Bola Ahmed Tinubu University of Languages “
Onah, who was flabbergasted on the said planned bill took to Facebook to registered his displeasure over the move by a man he said was his mentor to have proposed such an “eye service” bill-which would have no serious impact to the youth of Abia State.
According to him, “Your Excellency the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, I heard you are proposing a bill on Bola Ahmed Tinubu University of Nigerian Languages to be cited in Abia State. I want to ask, how many universities in Abia State are among the first fifty best universities in Nigeria.
“Why can’t you join hands with your governor to raise the standard of schools in Abia instead of embarking on such a venture that is inimical to your constituents
“If your people in Abia State will tolerate this, I am so disappointed in you, I must tell you because as a young man who have rose to such position in the society, I expect you to be more realistic with whatever you are doing, considering the economy situation of the country and the untold hardship citizens are going through. But, here you are planning to sponsor a bill for the establishment of Bola Ahmed Tinubu University of Nigerian Languages. Do you think Tinubu would even be interested in that, is that not eye service,” he queried.
