Information reaching Ibom Focus that Joe Igbokwe Cries Out, Raises Alarm Says IPOB Invade My Home, Razing It Down
A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) and a strong voice against the pro-Biafra group, the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Mr. Joe Igbkwe has accused members of IPOB of invading and trying to burn down his house in Anambra State.
Igbokwe resides in Lagos. However, through CCTV cameras installed in his house, the Mechanical Engineer has been able to monitor activities going on there.
“IPOB invaded my house in Nnewi about now,” Igbokwe wrote in a frantic Facebook post on Sunday afternoon. “I am sure they razed down my house giving the jerrycans of petrol I saw being offloaded from Sienna car via CCTV.”
He added, “To God be the glory. I am still alive. My Study is my greatest regret.”
In the CCTV footage, an ash-colored Toyota Sienna could be seen parked outside the gate, while two young men are seen trying to offload unknown substances from the boot.
It is not clear whether the APC chieftain has reported the suspected movements in his house to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).
He has accused them of masterminding the several high-profile killings in the Southeast. However, a spokesman of the IPOB has denied that his group is responsible for the unrest in the region.
