Like Islamic Cleric, Ritua|ists Dump Dism£mbered Female Body
The Nigerian Police Force, Ogun State Command have discovered a dism£mbered female body in a sack in the Ogijo community of the state.
This was stated in a press statement issued by the command on Monday.
It was gathered that the police command began an immediate investigation after its operatives linked the incident to a suspected case of ritual killing.
The statement reads: “On February 16, 2025, at about 1510hrs, the Chairman of Sedu 2 Community, Ogijo, and two other community members, reported to the Ogijo Police Division that they had discovered an unidentified female, describing the features as light complexion, about thirty years and above, and fresh body in a fenced farmland within the community.
“Upon receiving the report, detectives, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), swiftly mobilized to the scene. On Police officers’ arrival, they found the female corpse without a head and two hands, wrapped in a sack.”
The police said, “investigations suggest that the body was dumped at the location”.
“The crime scene was cordoned off and the remains have been deposited at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, for preservation and further forensic examination.”
This is coming a few days after reports of a final-year student of Kwara State College of Education, Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde allegedly killed by an Islamic cleric, Abdulrahman Mohad Ballo.
It was reported how the suspect reportedly lured Yetunde after connecting with her on Facebook and obtaining her phone number.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, February 10, 2025.
It was gathered that Hafsoh was attending a naming ceremony when she received a phone call from a friend.
However, she left her food to answer the call and then disappeared.
Family members and friends searched for her in vain before reporting her disappearance to the police at the Oja Oba Station in Ilorin the following day.
Meanwhile, police investigators used her phone records to trace her last call, leading them to Ballo, who resides in the Offa Garage area of Ilorin, though his family house is in Isalekoto.
