Rep. Jimbo Receives INTEGRITY ICON OF NIGERIA, IION, Honour.
In appreciation of the corruption free Representative of Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Clement Jimbo, MHR, MNIQS, the CENTRE FOR ETHICS AND SELF VALUE ORIENTATION, CESVO, an NGO with the sole aim of holding leaders accountable to citizens and zero tolerance for corruption among elected and appointed leaders in Nigeria, Tuesday 25th February, 2025, inducted the Federal Lawmaker into the Hall of Fame of Great Men and Women of Integrity.
The induction formalities took place at Rep. Jimbo’s office at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja and was performed by Hon. Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, the Executive Director of the NGO and former Special Special Assistant on Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission to His Excellency, Captain Idris Wada, former Governor of Kogi State.
Adumbrating the reason why the vocal Member was nominated and subsequently inducted into the Hall of Fame of Great Men and Women of Integrity as well as conferment of Integrity Icon of Nigeria, IION, honour, Hon. Salih Yakubu, averred that the lawmaker got the honours on merit based on his selfless and corruptless leadership within his first one year and six months in office as Honourable Member of Parliament who has refused to be a bench warmer at the Green Chamber but a voice that always speak in support of positive deliberations that will make Nigeria a better nation.
Hon. Yakubu, eulogized Rep. Jimbo, for his productive and all inclusive leadership and for quality project delivery for his constituents, urging him not to toe the part of corrupt leaders but should continue to be a corruptless leader as his integrity will sustain and take him higher in life.
While appreciating CESVO for the dignified honour accorded him in appreciation of his topnotched representation, Hon. Jimbo, lauded them for secretly carrying out an investigation on him in which culminated to his induction ceremony after finding him without blemish as a Parliamentarian.
The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, also commended the NGO for checkmating corruption among government officials and assured them of his support to fight corruption.
Highpoint of the induction includes; presentation of certificate of appreciation to Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituents for being supportive to their Representative, presentation of Certificates of Commendation to the Legislative Aides of the lawmaker for assisting him achieve greatly ever since he came on board as a Parliamentarian.
