Hon. Ekpenyong Initiates Intervention On Transformers To End Blackout
Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong, The Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom state,
has initiated plans to put an end to the power outages that have plagued some villages into darkness in Uruan Local Government Area.
Hon. Ekpenyong during a meeting with Nung Ikono Ufok village council assured them of the councils readiness to replace transformers vandalized by hoodlums, while urging them to be more vigilant in protecting government properties once restored.
He mandated appropriate persons in charge of handling the repairs of transformers, replacement of wires, to swing into action for immediate restoration of power to the affected communities.
However, it could be recalled that transformers and wires along Adadia Road and the Issiet Ekim axis were completely vandalized. This has hampered residents from enjoying power supply.
