Christmas Day: Explosion Rocks Niger State
A gas cylinder explosion in a vulcanizing shop in Kpakungu area, Minna, Niger State, has killed an apprentice and left three others injured.
It was gathered that the explosion occurred on Wednesday opposite the Kpakungu Centre Mosque, while the shop owner and his apprentices were working.
An eyewitness told our reporter that the cylinder suddenly burst, scattering debris and generating intense heat, which led to the death of one person and the injury of three others.
Efforts made to reach the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Wasiu Abiodun, for comment were unsuccessful, as calls and WhatsApp messages went unanswered at the time of this report.
