Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has alleged that two Channels TV reporters have been arrested over interviews conducted on the television station.
It was earlier reported that the NBC queried the TV station over an interview with Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom and Retired Naval Commodore, Kunle Olawunmi.
However, on Thursday afternoon, Sani took to Twitter to condemn the rumoured arrests.
“A Journalist can only ask questions, he or she can’t be held responsible for the answers or the truths or facts contained in the answers.”
“The arrest of the @channelstv presenters Chambalain Usor & Kayode Okikiolu is unconscionable. We can’t solve our problems by muzzling the press.”, He tweeted
