The National Leadership of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, has indefinitely suspended the Area Superintendent of Ibaka in Oron Field of the church, Pastor Isaac Uye, for action considered gross misconduct and breach of the church policy bordering rule of conduct and behavioural stipulations for ordained ministers of the church.
In a letter signed by the National Secretary of the church, Pastor Dr. M. F. Olumbo, addressed to Pastor Isaac Uye, the church council relayed the disciplinary measure meted on him over his act of indiscipline and abuse of office.
The letter which reads in part, “as an Evangelist and Apostle in the Church, after you were cross examined, the Panel found out that you had committed act of gross misconduct, indiscipline and action unbecoming of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
“You were unduly and violently disturbing the sitting and deliberation of the Oron Field Council and walked out on them despite restraint and a call to order.
“You used abusive language and issued threats to the Superintendent and the Council members without regards to the authority and leadership of the Church”
“Publishing of false and unsubstantiated allegations on social media.”
“Wrongful use of Church property for your private religious activities.”
The information which was also made known on Sunday March 20, at the Akwa Ibom Territorial Headquarters of the church in Uyo, stated that the erring Pastor Isaac Uye having been suspended should cease to parade himself as a clergy of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, vacate the mission and submit properties of the church in his possession to Oron Field Council.
“You are not to use the name of The Apostolic Church Nigeria for any function.”
You are therefore directed to vacate the mission house and to submit all church properties under your jurisdiction to Oron Field Council”, the statement reads.

Ibom Focus recalled that the church in Oron Field had recently been in the spotlight for disturbing reasons involving the said pastor of which the resolution of the National Executive Council of the church has put to rest.
