The Army disclosed that the account had been fully secured, with administrative control successfully reinstated, allowing it to resume regular updates on its operations, activities, achievements and institutional developments.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, said the successful recovery demonstrated the military’s commitment to protecting its digital communication platforms and ensuring the integrity of information shared with the public.
She appreciated Nigerians, members of the media and other stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support while the account was inaccessible.
The Army also acknowledged the cooperation of the public in accessing credible information through its alternative official communication channels during the period.
Members of the public were encouraged to follow the restored account, @HQNigerianArmy, for timely, authentic and verified information about the Nigerian Army.
The statement reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to transparent communication, sustained public engagement and strengthening public trust.
